During Farhan Akhtar’s interview with the two superstars – Amitabh Bachchan and Chiranjeevi – as part of the Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy promotion, Big B revealed how the two met for the first time.
“We were shooting together in Ooty. I was shooting for Hum and Chiranjeevi was doing a song sequence. We were pretty close to the same location. I found out and went across. What amazed me was that we were sitting there and chatting and after sometime, he was called to say the shot is ready. What amazed me was that within two seconds, the very complicated dance move, he did it in one take, something I would have taken a couple of years,” revealed Amitabh.
Chiranjeevi is known to be one of the best dancers in Indian cinema. The actor could not stop blushing, more so when Bachchan said the Megastar did not listen to him when he advised him not to enter politics.
“Now he says he has come out of it. But his younger brother has gone in. I tell him the same thing. But Pawan has a lot of passion,” said Bachchan.
Chiranjeevi recalled how he had sought time from Bachchan to show him his first Hindi movie `Pratibandh’ in 1990. Bachchan described it as a very purposeful move.
