Now Stalin, Kanimozhi show Kolam-veri on CAA and NRC

On Sunday, five people who drew kolams (rangoli) in Besant Nagar area of Chennai to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) were detained for close to 90 minutes by the police. It was after a furore over social media that they were released.

Today one will have to see if Chennai police metes out the same treatment to DMK chief MK Stalin and Lok Sabha MP Kanimozhi. Both tweeted pictures of their homes as well as the Gopalpuram residence of the late Karunanidhi, with anti-CAA, anti-NRC kolams drawn in front. These kolams were also a protest against what happened on Sunday.
