After Disha, an Advisory for women. And an Advisory for men

After the horror of the Disha gangrape and murder unfolded in the Cyberabad police commissionerate limits, Hyderabad police commissioner Anjani Kumar issued an advisory. It listed a series and dos and donts for women and girls while travelling, asking them to keep their family or close relative / friend informed about her travel plans.

Kumar also asked women to download hawk eye app and put the location services on at all times. The commissioner also asked them to act like they are talking over phone to their relative or a policeman and share the details of the vehicles in which they are travelling.

Tara Krishnaswamy, a social activist based in Bengaluru put out her own advisory, this time directed at men. She asked them not to venture out after 8 pm and dial 100 if they have an urge to molest. She implored them to carry a molestation whistle to be blown as soon as they felt like molesting.
