YSRCP MP wants Eenadu, Andhra Jyothy out of Parliament

The YSR Congress wants to bring Andhra Pradesh to New Delhi. That is, as far as its battle against two Telugu media houses is concerned.

Even before the furore over the order issued by the Andhra Pradesh government pushing for defamation cases against false reportage had died down, now YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP has demanded a ban on entry of Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy reporters into Parliament. The reason – they allegedly published false stories against him earlier this week.

The story pertained to the All-party meeting where the two dailies reported that Reddy was pulled up by Home minister Amit Shah. The news was subsequently carried by some web portals as well. Reddy has filed the complaint with Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Prahlad Joshi, Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla as well as the Privileges committee. He demanded that the entry passes of the journalists be cancelled.

“False information is being published in order to tamper my dignity and status,” said Reddy, adding that such reportage damages the Parliament system as well.
