The title song of Venky Mama starring Venkatesh with his real life nephew Naga Chaitanya is out. The snatches of the video show the duo in the verdant fields of green Godavari districts. Thaman’s music works well especially the female vocals of Mohana Bhogaraju whose voice has the nice rustic feel to lend the right emotional quotient to the lyrics.
But while you would expect the uncle-nephew chemistry to be crackling, at least going by first look, it does not seem to be the case. While Venkatesh gets the swag in his body language that has the typical Venky humour touch to it, Chaitanya does not seem very convincing. Hopefully the full length movie will see him do justice to his lead role.
For Thaman, these are busy times with his Ala Vaikunta Puramalo numbers already proving to be chartbusters. He has really become the number one music composer as far as Telugu cinema is concerned.
