Point being, sometimes it could the pysical location and the scenario around that could be a major pressing factor. Considering one of them was already on medication there could be other extraneous variables
physical visit the campus,the local hotspots,the travel hangouts and you will get the inert vibes/culture leading to this air in the institution.

I was told of the pressure some parents put on their children to excel.
In fact, Japan has the greatest number of suicides around 30k a year due to primarily pressures of family’s demands to succeed…
