Till two days back, Chiranjeevi was the front runner for the Filmfare best actor award in Telugu films for 2019 for his role as Narasimha Reddy, a freedom fighter who revolted against the British Raj in the 1840s. But a debutant actor is threatening to steal the Megastar’s thunder with his portrayal of the struggle against the Telangana sarkar in the 21st century.
Sarve Satyanarayana is visibly pleased with the audience reaction to his on-screen presence.
“I have been inundated with phone calls from acting schools from all over the world. They are amazed at my body language between `action’ and `cut’. It is possible that I may soon get some Hollywood offers,” Satyanarayana gushed to Tenali Rama.
Satyanarayana who was suspended by the Congress earlier this year for criticising the party leadership in Telangana, has also given credit to the policemen who were part of the epic battle scene staged outside his house.
“They should be nominated under the Best supporting actor category,” said Satyanarayana.
Sources have told Tenali Rama that Satyanarayana is likely to be invited to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interaction with prominent actors next time. NITI Aayog too has commended Telangana for being a pioneer in Acting start-ups in the country.
But there is visible heartburn in the Telangana Congress. Former Secunderabad MP Anjan Kumar Yadav has complained that he was removed from the stage even before he could perform. Yadav has demanded equal opportunity for all actors in Telangana.
