The Vijay-starrer in a double role combines football and real action in the trailer and packs a punch.

The beginning has its Chak De India kind of moment with Vijay in the title role playing a football coach for a women’s team but with the senior Vijay, the trailer kicks off to another level. 

Verithanama moment for Vijay fans. (Verithanama, as in craze) 

A sports action thriller, the senior Vijay seems to be a local North Chennai gangster. This is director Atlee’s third collaboration with Vijay after Theri and Mersal, both of which did very well at the box office.

Producer Archana Kalpathi released the trailer at 6 pm with the punch line from the film : “Engalukku football ellam theriyadhu aana enga aattam verithanama irukum” (We do not know about football but there will be a madness to our game)

The movie also stars Nayanthara,, Jackie Shroff and Vivek and the music has been scored by AR Rahman. Bigil releases on Diwali and will hope to score a goal.
