`Baahubali’ Prabhas set to arrive with `Saaho’

For those looking for coincidences and special moments, Saaho has plenty of them. For one, it marks the return of Prabhas, quite a heartthrob after the success of Baahubali, to the big screen after more than two years. Coincidentally, he began shooting for Saaho, which means valour on 18 August 2017. Exactly two years later, the pre-release event is being organised at Ramoji Film city in Hyderabad on a lavish scale.

Ahead of the event, a new poster featuring Prabhas and Shraddha was unveiled.

This movie that will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi marks the debut of Prabhas in Hindi. It also marks the debut of Shraddha Kapoor in south Indian films.

The music was to be composed by the trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy but they opted out when director Sujeeth decided to have other composers as well. The music is now composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Guru Randhawa and Ghibran.

Like Baahubali, Saaho’s budget is mammoth, having cost Rs 350 crore. The makers of the movie say the locales and the stunts will justify the budget, with the movie having been shot in Hyderabad and Mumbai in India and Austria, Dubai, Romania and Abu Dhabi abroad.

Keeping in the mind the Hindi market, the antagonists are all familiar faces from Bollywood. Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi and Chunky Pandey will be seen in a negative role.

Just like with Baahubali, everything associated with Saaho is also big. A 60 feet tall cutout of Prabhas has been erected at the Film City, in keeping with the fondness for fans of south Indian film stars for cutouts. Baahubali director SS Rajamouli will be the chief guest at the event.

YashRaj Films too will be watching Saaho closely when it releases on 30 August because their movie WAR starring Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor too is high on heavy-duty action. How Saaho performs at the box office will determine the appetite of the Indian audience for high octane action movies.
