This Telangana temple goes under water

Water has reached up to the neck level inside the Sri Yogananda Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Mattapally in Suryapet district of Telangana. Waters from river Krishna has been entering the temple since Wednesday, forcing the priests to shift the valuables from the sanctum sanctorum to a safe place.

Mattapally has been prone to flooding ever since the construction of Pulichinthala project. But despite officials asking villagers to move out, many families stayed put. Both the village and the temple have been affected by the flooding.
