When Siddhartha did not return even after half an hour, the driver called his phone and found it switched off. He informed Siddhartha’s family and the police was contacted to search for the businessman. The search was on in and around Mangaluru around Netravati river late into the night.

According to News9, former minister UT Khader’s brother visited the spot from where Siddhartha went missing. The search operations have started again in the morning after dawn including deployment of boats. The district collector of Dakshina Kannada has been supervising the search effort.
