Looks like Tollywood is Salman Khan-inspired. No, not in taking off the shirt but in making people wear one.
Superstar Mahesh Babu is the latest to climb the bandwagon of launching his own clothing brand. To be called `The HUMBL Co.’ it will be formally launched on 7 August, two days ahead of his birthday.
Tweeting about his sartorial business plan, Mahesh tweeted : “Our Humbl endeavour unveils today. Overwhelmed by your astounding response so far. Thank you all. For us, The Humbl Co. is not just clothing, it’s a way of life. We have spent the last year building its foundation with honesty, authenticity and love. We welcome you to the @thehumblco family. Stay tuned for the launch on 7th August.”
While Salman has his `Being Human’ brand, Mahesh will be the second big Telugu star after Vijay Deverakonda to get into the apparel business. Vijay had launched his `Rowdy Wear’ brand, building on the tag of rowdies he calls his fans by. Actress-turned-produer Charmee Kaur in order to promote `iSmart Shankar’ announced a new clothing line called `iSpecial’ for those who wanted to imitate the style statement in the movie.
Apart from clothing, Mahesh had recently ventured into the multiplex business, with his AMB Cinemas in Hyderabad.
