Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy was aware of the hulchul the Jashith kidnapping case had generated in Andhra Pradesh. Since Monday evening when Jasith was kidnapped from his home in Mandapeta, both mainstream media and social media were focused on the case. He was also aware that this was the most sensational crime committed in the state since he took over as CM.
Which is why as soon as he heard of the four-year-old boy having been found by the East Godavari police, he spoke first to DGP Gautam Sawang and then directly to East Godavari SP Adnan Nayeem Ashmi. Jagan told the SP that his job was only half done as the kidnappers were still at large.
Ashmi confirmed to Filter Kaapi that the CM spoke to him soon after he had personally handed over the boy to the family in Mandapeta.
“Yes, CM Sir called and congratulated for rescuing the boy. At the same time, he instructed to put in the same interest, energy and effort to nab the kidnappers at the earliest,” said Ashmi.
The police that has formed 17 teams to trace the boy, now is investigating based on clues provided by Jashith. It is also looking at any possible cases of enmity Jasith’s parents may have had with anyone in Mandapeta or in Srikakulam, where they were based earlier.
Jashith is soon to become an elder brother as his mother is nine months pregnant with her second child.
