`Baahubali’ Chandrayaan 2 takes off to the moon

The entire country was watching expectedly and with anticipation. A week ago, ISRO had to put off the launch of Chandrayaan 2 after a leak was detected in the cryogenic engine. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi too was glued to the live feed coming in on Doordarshan from Sriharikota and when the launch was declared successful, he applauded ISRO  scientists.

The launch was a goosebumps moment. Apart from the high resolution cameras that are trained on the Fat Boy GSLV MKIII launcher, various camerapersons also shot the historic moment from the terrace of the ISRO building in Sriharikota. 

Chandrayaan 2 was taken on its mission by the launcher rightfully named the Baahubali for the sheer weight and power it commands. It will touch the south pole of the moon in September.
