Newly elected BJP MP from Secunderabad, Kishan Reddy has booked his place in the hearts of those who have not voted for him. This is the constituency of children, especially those who cannot afford to buy notebooks ahead of a fresh academic year.
Reddy put out a note on his social media platforms requesting visitors who are coming to greet him, not to bring flower bouquets, shawls and sweets.
“Notebooks to needy school children are welcome,” he wrote.
That generated an immediate response and Reddy’s office now is home to lots of notebooks which will be distributed to children in his constituency. By the end of Monday, the MP had collected close to 5000 notebooks.
Reddy had done the same when he represented Amberpet assembly constituency as MLA. But now he will be reaching out to students in schools all over Secunderabad.
Well begun is half done.
