The Indian squad for the World Cup cricket has been announced.
Thirteen of the spots were pretty much decided and for the last two places, there were four players in contention. Vijay Shankar vs Ambati Rayudu and Dinesh Karthik vs Rishabh Pant.
I am personally very happy with this well-balance squad, lots of all rounders, pretty much like Kapil’s Devils in 1983. Now for Virat’s Warriors to do a 1983 all over again.
But not everyone is pleased. One of them annoyed with Pant’s exclusion, is Ramesh Srivats, the funny man of Twitter.

Dear Mr. Sudhir,
By and large agree with your assessment of the team selection. However, I would have liked to have some surprise element like Navdeep Saini who regularly bowls at 145k plus speed. I would have chosen him in place of Ravindra Jadeja, as it is English wickets and conditions will favour pacers more than spinners.
