Rajamouli’s `RRR’ moves to Gujarat

It is not usual for a film star to post a photograph of his airline boarding pass. But when NT Rama Rao Junior or Tarak tweeted the boarding passes of three passengers taking the Hyderabad-Vadodara early morning flight on 29 March, it was obviously for a reason. For it meant that NTR, Ramcharan and SS Rajamouli were off to work on #RRR, the director’s next big project after the two-part `Baahubali’.

Rajamouli had announced this project in November 2017, tweeting a photograph with NTR and Ram Charan. The first schedule of the film took place in November-December 2018, with the second schedule in the second half of January.

`RRR’ is set in the pre-independence era and is a fictional tale about two warriors, Alluri Seetharamaraju (played by Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (NTR). A period film made on a budget of about Rs 400 crore, it is slated for release on 30 July, 2020 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and other Indian languages.
